Mind Under Mind

I find it wonderfully catastrophic that familiarity
and estrangement advance hand in hand with memory’s
untrustworthy illusions.

Semi-synchronized spikes in thought
sprout spurs of speculation leading
to moments of disillusionment.

Realizations can destroy the mental embodiment
of a person’s ability to hold down
the mind of another.
All being said as easy to hack as the mind
has proven to be, it also has shown a significant
advancement when given the proper anointed
time frame with which to process.

The mind will fight for us
against what causes we may deem
unfitted to dwell in our individual realities.
So in a single summary line
I’m warning against the power of thought
when applied to others
and utilized to define ourselves.
